In the spring of 2008, I undertook an independent study to help the city of Fall River, Massachusetts, attract tourists by creating directional signage to make city navigation easier. With two fellow students, I brainstormed various shapes and colors for the signs, ensuring they would be visible and hard to miss, yet still aesthetically pleasing. We presented our design to the city and the signs were installed the following year!
